You put historical events in chronological order, place them on a timeline, decide which came first, spot the one from a different century, or guess the year they happened. It has no map and no 360° scenes. There are new puzzles every day, the same for every player, so it works like Wordle for history. ### Is Almanac the game that used to be called HistoryGuessr? Yes. Almanac was called HistoryGuessr, at history-guessr.com, until November 2026. The old address sends you here, and your streaks and the events you've collected come with you. ### Is there a game like Wordle for history? Yes. Almanac is a daily history puzzle in the spirit of Wordle: one Timeline Daily a day, the same for everyone, where you put 5 historical events in order in 3 tries and share your result as emoji. It also has a Picture Daily and six endless or score modes. ### How do you play Almanac? In the Timeline Daily you get 5 historical events and arrange them from earliest to latest. You have 3 attempts, and after each one every pair of neighbouring events shows whether it's linked, meaning one comes right after the other in history. In the Picture Daily you first match captions to pictures, then order the pictures the same way. Once the three games on the day's theme are played, a finale mixes their events into one timeline. Endless Timeline, Endless Pictures, Higher or Lower and Odd One Out run until 3 mistakes, Endless Years runs until a bank of 100 years is used up, and Year Guess scores how close you get to the real year. ### How many events are in Almanac?
